!CEMETERY: Cooper Cemetery (sometimes called Blanchard Cem) in Jenkins
Township, just north of Wilkes Barre. Her husband and many other early settlers
were also buried here, but Phebe's and George's graves and those of many other
Coopers have since been removed to Hollenback Cem in Wilkes Barre, a few miles

Edward G. Gerding was her Godfather. Other sponsors were Ida Becker & Rosa
Fischer.
She gave a very interesting and informative talk at the Friends of the the
Collinsville Museum meeting on the hat shops that were in Collinsville in the
early 1900's. She mentioned that Grandpa Gerding was her Godfather, and she
had a gold hat pin that he gave her on her 16th birthday.
I contacted her and went to see her one afternoon. We had a very interesting
talk and she told me a lot about her grandmother, Caroline Feker, who was a
half-sister of Priscilla Gerding. I had intended to go see her again, but
never made it back.
