[694] !Birth & Death: dates for this family, was found in "Genealogies of KY
Families" from The Register of KY Historical Society, Publ. 1981, and from
the history of Elizabethtown and Hardin County, KY.
Have copy of marriage license from "Ministers Returns: Nelson Co, KY.
His children grew up in Nelson Co at Old Boston. His land lay along Pine
Tavern Rd. and Lick Creek. The homeplace was called Farmington, was a roomy
log homestead and stood slightly south of the creek and west of the road.
Leonard was a tanner and a merchant as well as a farmer. The large tannery and
log store faced the road south of the creek. Some of the slaves were skilled
tanners, and the time-worn tanning stone, long after it had served its original
purpose, was made a part of the style blocks at the Boston Christian Church,
and in 1981, when I made a trip there, was still a stepping stone beside the
entrance drive to accommodate communicants arriving in motor cars.
Buried in Troutman Cemetery, p 67, Nelson Co, KY Cemeteries, Vol III. I have
photos of tombstones.

[695] !Found a son "Loth" (whose son?) christened 10 Apr 1779, in Frederick,
Frederick, MD, in German Reformed Church, which is probably "Leonard".

as copy of paper in Nelson Co, KY, "Ministers Returns: Nelson Co, KY." Gladys
Gerding has a copy of this license in her fild.
