Info from "The Aaron STARK Family" book, by Charles R. STARK, 1927. The date
of birth is given in 2 places of this book and the 2nd given is 3 Nov 1732, b
in Groton, CT. His name is found in the records of Wilkes-Barre Twp as
appearing for himself in the year 1772 to claim his right in the purchase. He
and his son left the fort to defend them from the fury of the savages, and
after the troops broke and ran, he and his son Aaron fled and hid themselves in
the driftwood along the river. The father was discovered by the savages and
taken out and cruelly murdered before the very eyes of the son. After the
massacre his widow with five children, eventually found her way back to Dutchess
Co, NY. Aaron and Margaret had 11 children.
Margaret married (2) Stephen Stocker. She died in Dutchess Co, NY abt 1814.
