!DEATH: Article from THE KY RECORD of Nelson Co, KY, April 1888, regarding his
death. Copy in FRBK1. Article: "We are grieved to Chronicle the death of our
esteemed friend, Alonzo Stark which occurred March 26, 1888, at the residence
of Mr. John Johnson, Boston, KY. Mention has been made in THE RECORD the past
two weeks of the accidental shooting of himself through the wrist. Lon, as he
was familiarly called, was one of nature's noblemen and no young man had more
friends than he. Many were the tears that were shed over him. He was in the
32nd year of his age. At the bedside of the sick and afflicted, Lon was an
ever-ready watcher and his good name will long live and no nobler heart lay
beneath the sod of Mr. Moriah than his. Peace to his ashes."
MARRIAGE: none.
